Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job No: 105178
Location: Inner West & CBD Melbourne

Are you a Recruiter looking for an interesting new challenge?

Want to use your experience across all facets of the candidate attraction and screening process, without the pressure of sales?

This is your chance to join a global organisation changing the face of recruitment - work client side in this pivotal Managed Service Provider role!

Connecting People to Grow Companies, Careers and Communities...

That’s what we’re all about at Employment Office.

Recruitment is (or should be!) a major priority for every business across Australia. To grow a business and outperform the competition you need to be able to attract the best talent, regardless of the industry or position.

But recruitment is a challenge. It can be a struggle for HR teams, who often don't have the range of skills required, from copywriting through to software systems and candidate management.

Employment Office offers our clients a suite of products and services that offer great value, and are highly effective and transparent. Our customers know exactly what they pay for, and trust our Recruitment Specialists to find and secure the best talent for their organisation.

This is where you come in.

We're currently growing our RPO division, partnering with clients to provide them with an outsourcing option for all of their recruitment needs.

In this position, you'll spend the majority of your time working onsite at one of our key clients' offices acting as the 'go to' for all things recruitment advertising, shortlisting and selection, and recruitment software. You'll play a pivotal role in updating and enhancing all facets of the recruitment process. The rest of your time will be spent in our office, working across a range of projects for our other clients.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a proactive and consultative approach to managing the recruitment needs and experiences of the HR Team and Hiring Managers;
  • Copywriting and strategically placing recruitment advertisements;
  • Screening, shortlisting and interviewing candidates;
  • Building, nurturing, maintaining and engaging passive talent pools;
  • Using our recruitment software technology to its full potential; and
  • Reporting on KPIs to ensure consistent and quality delivery of services.

It's important to note that this is NOT a sales role. We customise solutions that have been tailored to our client's needs, and we don't charge placement fees. You'll instead be focused on utilising your recruitment skills to find the perfect fit for our clients!

Please Note: The successful candidate must be flexible to work from two locations - Inner West Melbourne 3 days per week, and in our head office on Lonsdale St 2 days per week.

About You

If any of the below sound like you, this could be your next career move:

A) You're an Internal Recruiter looking for more variety in your role, or looking for some experience in external recruitment;

B) You're an Agency Recruiter looking to move away from the 'sales side of things'; or

C) You're currently in a support role within recruitment and are looking for more responsibility and autonomy.

What's important is that you're skilled across the attraction and selection aspects of recruitment, and will bring with you a passion for providing clients with the best service possible.

It goes without saying, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring your ability to clearly articulate to both clients and candidates alike. Although you will enjoy the independence and freedom to innovate in this position, it's important you also be able to work collaboratively with others and possess strong account management/relationship building skills.

You'll be confident in your credibility and know when to appropriately take control of the conversation to ensure the best results. Negotiation skills and the ability to win the trust of your key stakeholders will cement your success.

The Perks

Grow your career, develop your future, and be part of our success story. Join a culture of supportive collaboration and positive conversation. We’re competitive, resilient, and motivated to work hard, and we have leaders, not managers.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you’ll be offered an attractive base salary plus super and incentives (negotiable upon experience).

Some great little perks of working here are fresh fruit and snacks each day, free coffee, and Friday afternoon drinks. We also have some giant perks like quarterly celebrations (think catering, dancing, awards, etc.) and an annual all expenses paid international trip for top performers. Our office is centrally located on Lonsdale Street, close to the famous cafe strip of Hardware Lane.

Not to mention, this is a fantastic opportunity to further your knowledge base and expand your skill set across all elements of our business. You'll enjoy the opportunity to explore different areas of interest within recruitment, and have access to an ongoing brightness of future plan to ensure a long lasting and happy career.

Most importantly, the work we do at EO is important. We create valuable connections for employers and jobseekers day in and day out, and we you want to be a part of it.
